Improving the private rented sector, but how? Policy meeting on Thursday, 10 July, 6.30-8.30pm

Unite community centre, 236 Cable Street, E1 0BL
entrance down the steps by the bus stop
nearest DLR/overground station is Shadwell

On In this meeting, we would like to share information and discuss different policy ideas that councils could use to regulate the private rented sector. What do we expect of a compulsory landlord accreditation scheme or a council led non-profit letting agency? How should they be designed? What can we learn of from the experiences of other boroughs like Newham, where a landlord registration scheme was put in place last year?

Everyone is invited, you don’t need to be a policy expert already!
Let’s learn – and campaign – together.

The event is hosted by Digs (Hackney Renters), Tower Hamlets Renters and Generation Rent.
